About us

Physiotherapy & Pilates Four Peak Health (previously Physiotherapy Four Peak Health Ltd) provides physiotherapy services to those in the McKenzie, Mid and South Canterbury areas.

The clinic is the only physiotherapy practice in the Geraldine area to be accredited with HDANZ (Health and Disability Auditing NZ). This demonstrates our commitment to supplying quality physiotherapy services to our clients.

Your condition does not have to be accident related and you can make an appointment without a doctor’s referral by phone or email. On our first assessment we will complete the appropriate paperwork, recommend a rehabilitation plan and if required we can refer you to the appropriate specialist. We are open 5 days a week with 20 or 40 minute appointments available.

Meet the team...

 

Liz Ball – Principal Physiotherapist; BSc, BHSc(Physio), PGDip(Anatomy)

Originally from Geraldine Liz completed her training at Auckland University of Technology in 1999. Since graduating, Liz has worked in private practice and outpatient physiotherapy settings in New Zealand and UK. Liz worked as a clinical musculoskeletal specialist in the UK. Her professional areas of interest include acupuncture, chronic pain, sports injuries and Pilates based exercise programmes. Liz is currently undertaking post graduate study in Vocational Rehabilitation and is a member of the Occupational Health Special Interest Group (OHPG). Liz has also played representative rugby for Otago and Auckland in the past.

George Ball – Physiotherapist; BPhed(Hons), BHSc (Physio), MNSZP.

George graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 1999. Prior to this he completed a degree in Physical Education with Honours from Otago University. George has worked both privately and publically since graduating. He spent 10 years working in the UK. His special interests are exercise prescription, sports physiotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation and acupuncture. George has completed a large number of post graduate courses. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, golf, fishing and spending time with his fabulous wife and 2 beautiful children.


Jo Hewson – Physiotherapist; BPhty, Post Grad Cert Phty, MNSZP.

Jo graduated from Otago University in 1998 and worked within a hospital setting for over 3 years while she gained experience in a wide range of Physiotherapy services. On return to the Mainland she has focused on Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy, and trained in Acupuncture. She also has an interest in Falls Prevention and is a member of the Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association of New Zealand (PAANZ). Jo now works part time in the clinic. In addition to treating musculoskeletal conditions with acupuncture, Jo has a special interest in treating headaches/migraines.

Maria Earl – BHSc (Physio) Post Grad Cert Phty, MNSZP

Maria graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2005 and worked at Waikato Hospital for three years before moving to work in private practice. She holds a Post Grad Certificate Western Acupuncture and has completed several courses including her post graduate study in recent years. Maria is also a member of the Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association of New Zealand (PAANZ). She has done special training in the treatment of lymphoedema and worked in this area of practice before moving to South Canterbury. Maria, a keen sportswoman who enjoys cycling, running and multi-sports, has an interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Bev Osborne – Physiotherapy Administrator

Bev assists the Physiotherapy team with administrative tasks, Health and Safety monitoring and auditing requirements. She has a vast knowledge of IT and ACC processes. Bev’s main job is Receptionist for Four Peak Health.

Kris Clemenger - Stay on your feet co-ordinator

Kris runs our stay on your feet programme in Geraldine. She has had experience doing the programme in Christchurch.
